Points East Veterinary Emergency Hospital is an extension of your primary care veterinarian’s office. Our team of dedicated and experienced emergency and critical care focused veterinarians are always available to help your family with its emergency veterinary care needs. Whether your dog has a cut paw or has endured life-threatening trauma, we are here for you.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Lauren Clements

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Clements received her undergraduate and veterinary medical degree from Oklahoma State University. She has strong interest in emergency medicine and has been with Animal Urgent Care since 2008.

Dr. Alicyn Cross

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Alicyn Cross received her BS from Michigan State University before completing her veterinary medical degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She has strong interests in soft tissue surgery and wound repair/reconstruction. 

Dr. Julie Anzaldua

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Anzaldua received her BS degree from NC State University and MS degree from the University of Nebraska before returning to NC State University to pursue her veterinary degree. She has a strong interest in emergency medicine and enjoys the variety of cases at Points East. 

Dr. Lindsey Wicks

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Wicks received her BS from at The University of Mount Olive, and DVM from NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She found her passion within emergency medicine and is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery and wound repairs.

Dr. Elizabeth Frieden

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Frieden received her B.S. in Animal Sciences and Business from Cornell University, and DVM from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). She began her career in working on performance horses and is excited to have expanded into companion animal emergency medicine.
